The Alexander County Chamber of Commerce serves the county with a variety of programs to strengthen the economic vitality of the community. The Chamber of Commerce is organized to promote and to coordinate the efforts of commerce, industry, and the professions in order to maintain and strengthen a healthy business climate and to improve the overall quality of life for the citizens of Alexander County. Annual Chamber-sponsored events such as the Christmas parade, golf tournament, and street dance and car show serve to draw both residents and tourists to the county so that people can see how truly unique Alexander County is.A warm welcome...
The Chamber extends a warm welcome to our visitors and residents alike. We may be a little prejudiced; but in our thought, Alexander County has it all...from the rolling hills at the foot of the Brushy Mountains to the sparkling waters of Lake Hickory. What a beautiful land to call home!Our door is always open for a visit. From the Brushy Mountains to Lake Hickory, our county offers residents and visitors scenic beauty, a safe environment, a healthy economy, and an abundance of community events. In short, Alexander County is a wonderful place to call home.As beautiful as our landscape is, our greatest asset is the community of giving and caring people that do call this county home. Alexander County has retained that "hometown" friendliness even though our county has grown by leaps and bounds and offers the conveniences of a larger city. We are a strong family-oriented community with a common goal to continue to excel in the quality of life that we enjoy. Our county is prospering and we have excellent opportunities on the horizon!
Alexander County offers the best of all worlds...the friendly "hometown" atmosphere of a small town...along with the conveniences and progress of the city. Our friendly, small town atmosphere turns visitors into residents!
Board of Directors
The Board of Directors of the Alexander County Chamber of Commerce serve for a three year term and can be re-elected. A nomination committee recruits new board members and the membership votes the individuals in.
